Chateau Prieuré-Lichine (Margaux) 2005:Dark and rather handsomely styled fruit on the nose, and an attractive, pure, rounded, rather seamless character on the palate. The tannins are well covered at first, but have a very firm nature, and provide a rather fierce grip at the finish. Nevertheless there is a fresh, attractive crispness to the fruit, which has a cranberry and blackcurrant leaf character, and overall this has a nice, upright style. (P) |

Francis Coppola Directors Cut Chardonnay 2005:Made with 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the prestigious Russian River Valley. We crush the grapes whole-cluster and then ferment the must entirely in French oak barrels to achieve a seductive, round texture with quintessential Russian River Valley flavors of green apple, honeysuckle, and sweet vanilla with citrus notes. Its sweet perfume previews its palate with hints of honeysuckle, crisp apple, and orange blossoms. (P) |

Hook & Ladder Russian River Chardonnay 2006:Owner Cecil DeLoach - who sold DeLoach Vineyards in 2003 - named his second winery Hook & Ladder to honor his firefighting profession. DeLoach's winemaker son, Jason, has made a wine with bright but delicate aromas of cinnamon toast, just-ripe apple, pear, mango and anise. Tart, lively flavors and the grippy palate will be great with food despite a touch of heat on the finish. (P) |

Hullabaloo Zinfandel 2005 Napa:The 2005 Hullabaloo Zinfandel displays a classic briery, jammy nose with further aromas of spice and pepper as it unfolds. Flavors of sweet black currant and raspberry dominate the palate showcasing powerful ripeness, impressive textures and well-integrated oak. At 15.6% alcohol the wine does a fine job of walking a tightrope between muscularity and elegance, which we believe is the cornerstone of great Zinfandel. (P) |

Colombelle Cote de Gascogne 2006:Very pale gold color with a bold nose of lovely green apple, apricot, tangerine and very prominent floral notes. Exhibits the pedigree of usually more costly wines, with superb balance of sweet apricot, wild honey and a perfect spike of tangerine acidity. Sweet floral aftertaste pervades my breath after breathing out post-sip. This is a very light and refreshing, almost weightless, though intense wine. |

Mexicali Beer:The origin of Cervecería Mexicali begins in 1923 when a small group of businessmen decided to create a brewery in the city of Mexicali. An old formula is what created Cerveza Mexicali, basing its production on the highest levels of quality control and the experience of its master brewers, which has allowed its products to be distinguished by flavor and precise alcohol concentration. Mexicali Beer is the original formula that beat out Corona and Pacifico as "the" great Mexican beer. |

Van Oosten Batavia Arrack:A taste that has traveled the world from the Dutch East Indies, unique for its ability to both add depth and lift the aromas of citrus and chocolate. From the late 17th to 19th century, in an age when “Punch” was a celebration of all things then exotic – citrus, sugar, and spice, no Punch was without a true Batavia Arrack. In pre-Prohibition America, Batavia Arrack and most notably the Swedish Punch were essential to many now-classic cocktails. (P) |

Lucid Absinthe Liqueur (France): Introducing Lucid, Absinthe Supérieure. Lucid represents a breakthrough product for the U.S. market, as it is the first true, Grande Wormwood-based Absinthe of its type since before prohibition. Unlike imitators in the U.S. and many of the so-called "Absinthe" products that litter the international markets, lucid is crafted directly from select whole herbs, including Grande Wormwood, and never from cheaper assemblages, macerations, extracts or oils. |

Square One Organic Vodka:The green processes used in its production are apparent in each sip of Square One. It begins with the fragrance of rich, nutty rye and freshly cut straw. Light grain leads the entry, which is noticeably clean, smooth, and as bright as a brand new day that slowly transforms into a warm, savory palate with a silky, inviting texture. The finish is long and warming with only the slightest hint of heat that pinches the tongue so subtly that one would feel lost without it. |
