Now start with three times that number and you are still not seeing all of the bottles of beer that we have on the wall – or in our cooler. Looking for a traditional American or foreign favorite? We’ve got that. Looking for a handcrafted micro-brew? We’ve got that. Looking for a new high-gravity beer from around the world? Oh yeah, we’ve got that!

We stock hundreds of your favorite bottles of beer so that, no matter what the occasion, no matter how many guest, no matter what your mood, we have a beer for you.

High-Gravity Beer: On July 1, 2004, Georgia laws were amended to allow for the sale of high-gravity, high alcohol beer and Tower was pleased to introduce those beers to Atlanta. Since then, the world of beer has literally opened to us. From the best of Europe to fantastic gems from exotic locales, to fine artisan beers from around the country, an exciting new world of beer is waiting for you.

Tower always has a large selection of kegs, as well as the ability to obtain any keg available. If you had it in your favorite pub you can have it at home. Local, domestic or import, full keg or half keg (pony), we have the selection for your needs. Contact us by noon on Wednesday and we can order or reserve your favorite keg for the weekend.

Some important things to consider:
Kegs need taps – they’re the best way to get to the beer. We have taps or you can use your own. Keep in mind that not all taps work with every keg.

Kegs like the cold – all of our kegs are kept at service temperature and we recommend that you keep them there. Tubs and lots of ice work well. We’ve got both for you.
Keg stands aside, we recommend a large supply of cups. And you know we’ve got you covered there too. And remember, size matters:


*A pony keg serves about 83 beers with 12oz cups or 62 beers with 16oz cups.
*A full keg serves about 165 beers with 12oz cups or 125 beers with 16oz cups.
Choose wisely.

Pony Kegs = 3.4 cases of beer
Full Kegs = 6.8 cases of beer

Kegs, Taps, and Tubs all require a deposit. See individual store policy pages for more info.

Deposits must be paid with cash or check – sorry no credit cards are accepted (but you can use your credit card to pay for the beer itself). Deposits are returned when the kegs, taps, and tubs are returned. Deposits are held for 7 calendar days from time of pick-up.

There is some paperwork required by the State of Georgia that you will need to complete at the time you pick up the keg. So please be prepared to show a valid Photo I.D. and show proof of address.

Life is Sweet at Sweetwater! Best Selling Craft Beer

Tower employees were treated to a private tour and tasting at the Sweetwater Brewery in Atlanta last month. Sweetwater 420 was the first beer tasted and it is by far the best selling beer in the entire retail market of Atlanta. Other beers that were available were Sweetwater Indian Pale Ale, Georgia Brown, Hummer, Blue, and Festive Ale. Everyone at

Tower enjoyed the flavors and the chance to expand their tasting knowledge. You too can stop by on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons when Sweetwater opens its doors and taps to the public. The actual tours last 20 minutes (that gives you plenty of time to really "taste" the beers).

Next we enjoyed a guided tour of the brewery. Sweetwater is also involved with the Atlanta Community raising money for Atlanta Animal Welfare and the 420 Fest (19 and 20 April) raising money for Candler Park and promoting environmental awareness.

Overall, everyone had an enjoyable day, tasted fine beer, and gained some beer education. This tour is highly recommended to all our customers! SweetWater Brewery was awarded the title "Small Brewery of the Year" at the Great American Beer Festival, so Tower is not the only group that think that Sweetwater is in a class all it’s own.
